Learning to be a Trainer

Eric was excited to be called as a Trainer. It was his third transfer. Elder John is Chuukese, and all the English he knows is from 2 1/2 months at the MTC. Talk about a huge responsibility. Eric's newly developed Chuukese language skills will be put the test with Elder John as he tries his best to train and teach someone in another language.  Eric attended training sessions to learn his new responsibility.

Eric said "This is honestly the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. It is hard and a lot of responsibility. You have to be able to correct the one you train in a loving and kind manner. You learn LOTS of patience. I would like to continue training because I know it is super important in order to really help the new missionaries progress. And the trainer leaves a legacy that, if good, will affect the mission for years to come."  We are proud of Eric and know that he will take this new assignment very seriously.
