Another Letter from Elder and Sister Norton Dec 2012

December 6, 2012 we received an email from Elder and Sister Norton about Eric. Here is an excerpt of her sweet letter:

"Well as Elder Hadder says each time we see him "hello hello". I told him today at district meeting that I felt impressed to write yo and he told me his dad wasn't doing well right now. Please know our prayers are with you and your family... so I hope to brighten your day and brag a bit about [Eric] as I know he won't do it himself, he is way too humble :)  He told us next Thursday is his 6 month mark. Wow... we are going on 9 months ourselves.

President and Sister Mecham came to our district meeting today and Elder Hadder did an AMAZING job teaching us all. Last week he went and picked up and brought to district meeting a Brother who is mentally challenged, another Brother with mild autism, and another Brother who is 19 and just a new member of a month. The thought came to me that only Elder Hadder would have the Christlike attitude and patience to take the time for these men. He is giving them opportunities to grow in the gospel when many others would look at them as a hinderance. My admiration and love for him doubled that day. You have taught him well and it says a lot about you as his mama.

Eric is an example of how to love your companion. He shows great spiritual strength and leadership abilities. I will not be surprised at all if he becomes an AP* or zone leader. Through these difficult learning experiences.....he will then someday be able to relate and help other missionaries who may have the same problems. We know the "Lord is in the details" of our lives.

The ward loves [Eric]. He is always smiling and it's because we know him well now, only the look in his eyes at times tells me his is worried or frustrated with something. He never complains and that in itself is such a rare quality to find....I found this quote and thought you might like "Some blessings come soon, some blessings come late, and some don't come until heaven. But for those that embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come." Elder R. Holland
